IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Niciea Gloria
Brewster
December 17, 1942 – December 1, 2024
Niciea Gloria Brewster was born on December 17, 1942 in Magee, Mississippi. She was the fourth child of Elijah and Anice Brown. She was known by many names, depending on who you were in her lifetime. Some may have known her as Gloria Jean or Sylvia. She graduated high school from McLaurin Vocational School in Magee, Mississippi. She then attended Alcorn University in Lor-man, Mississippi where she obtained her bachelor's degree in Phys-ical Education and later earned her master's degree.
After establishing her career in education she met the love of her life. On June 26, 1969, she married Jimmy Padgett Brewster and had 3 children. Starting her new life in Texas she has worked with many companies: Terrell State Hospital as an adolescent teacher, Terrell ISD as a Preschool/ Head Start teacher and Terrell Commu-nity Hospital as a care-giver. She has always been a caring person and always lending a helping hand. No matter the field she found herself in, she was always that Florence Nightingale or someone's helping angel.
She was a huge New Orleans Saints fan and loved to travel along with lending helping anyone that needed a helping hand.
On December 1, 2024, Niciea left this earth to move on to a place of serenity and peacefulness. She was preceded in death by her par-ents, Elijah and Anice Brown; her brothers, Jack and Willie George Brown; her husband, Jimmy Brewster; grand-daughter, Micala Brewster and God-Sister, Loretta Turner.
She leaves cherished memories with one brother, Luke Preston Brown (Magee, MS); one son, Oscar Elijah Brewster (Dallas, TX); two daughters, JoppaChan Yanice Williams (Dallas, TX) and Son-ja Rochelle Brewster (Allen, TX); one special son-in-law, Raphael Williams (Crandall, TX); God-daughters, Sandra Carter (Dallas, TX), Karen Preston (Dallas, TX), Stephanie Turner (Princeton, TX) and Melissa Jackson (Rochester, NY); grandchildren, Elijah, Anthony, Andrew, Larissa, Cole, Ryan, Evan, Tyesha, James and Jamal; God-grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon, Tenille, Devin, Mardaisha, Stephen, Adrianna, Kaila and Cydni; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
