Oscar Franklin was born on February 14, 1938 to Bob and Jettie May Franklin in Omaha, Texas. Oscar relocated to Plano, Texas where he met and married his wife, Bonnie Jo Franklin (Walford) on October 17, 1960. The couple enjoyed 57 years and four months of marriage. To this union two children were born; Mark Franklin (deceased) and Delmetra Wilson (Franklin). He worked construction for thirty years taking great pride in the quality of his workmanship. He was employed by Stewart Construction Company. Oscar's hobbies were fishing and barbequing. He accepted Christ later in life and loved the Lord.
On February 27, 2018, Oscar peacefully slept into his new eternal life at the age of 80.
Oscar was preceded in death by parents: Bob and Jettie May Franklin; sister: Ruby Pearson; brother: Dud Franklin
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: wife, Bonnie Jo Franklin; daughter, Delmetra Wilson; sisters, Sue Rogers (Franklin), Bobby Jean Pearson (Franklin), Mary Frazier (Franklin); brothers, Lawrence Franklin, Thomas Franklin, James Franklin, Billy Earl Franklin, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
