IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia
Brown
November 8, 1948 – December 6, 2023
The Reflection of an AMAZINGWoman
Patricia Ann Brown, (ne Wynne) was born on Tuesday, November 8, 1948,
in Kansas City, Kansas to parents Margaret Ann (ne Pratt) and Oliver Wen-
dell Wynne. Soon after Pat graduated from Central high school in 1966,
she went to work for the IRS, just like her mother, however, in 1968 Pat
moved to St. Paul Minnesota to attend college at the University of Minne-
sota. While there she met and made lifelong friends, that she even spoke
with often up until the time of her passing. While in St. Paul, Pat attended
Shiloh Missionary Baptist church where she was a choir director and was a
member of the mission ministry. Pat also sang with the Gospel group The
Sounds of Blackness while in St. Paul. In 1976, a group of college recruit-
ers from Bishop College came to Shiloh to encourage black students to
move to Dallas to attend Bishop, an HBCU. The decision to move to Dallas
in 1977 was easy as Pat had already fallen in love with the city, as she
passed through it during her numerous trips to see her Uncle Sonny in Hou-
ston. While attending Bishop, Pat resumed working for the IRS, where she
began to move up the corporate ladder. In 1981 she had her first and only
child Tiffani Rae Brown (ne Wynne), which she had truly hoped and
prayed for after caring for her multiple nieces and nephews. In 1983 Pat
moved back to Kansas City to help take care of her mother, who's health
was declining. While in Kansas City, Pat began to sell Tupperware where
she became a distributor. She attended Salem Baptist Church in Kansas
City, Kansas where she was an active member. In 1989, after her mother
passed, Pat moved back to the Dallas area and returned to work for the IRS,
where she worked for over 25 years and retired in 2002. In 1990 she met
Denise Brown and married him. The Browns then moved to the Plano area
in the early 2000's and became members oh Shiloh MBC. Pat enjoyed or-
ganizing, interior design, camping, but most importantly she enjoyed her
family.
Pat will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving, strong, pas-
sionate, fierce advocate for everyone she met. Pat knew no strangers as
everyone became like family to her. Although she birthed only one child,
she helped raise and became like a mother figure to many. The love and
guidance she provided is evident and will remain with all that were lucky
enough to know her! If you ever met Pat, your life was changed in a posi-
tive way forever.
Pat passed away peacefully, with her family by her side on Wednesday,
December 6, 2023, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in McKinney, TX.
She was proceeded in death by her Mother Margaret, Father Oliver, Sister
Mary Roland, Brother Joseph Wynne, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and
Nephews.
