Patsy Ruth Rodgers was born on February, 13, 1938 in Dallas, TX to the late parents of Rev. Sam Henry Jemerson II and Lula Haynes Jermerson. She received her education from Booker T. Washington High School. She then went on to marry Nunnie Booker and they had one daughter Sheila Ann Simpson.

Patsy accepted Christ at an early age at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she was a member for many years. Eventually, she joined Bexar Street Baptist Church, then later returned back to Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of her brother, the late Pastor S.H. Jemerson II; which they later joined the family at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church. Her final place of worship was at Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church. She was faithful and dedicated to the Lord until her demise. Patsy was loved by all who knew her.

On December, 5th, 2018 in comfort and peace, God's angel, Patsy went home to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by both parents, her sister Norma Jean Jermerson and her brother Sam Henry Jemerson III.
