Patsy Hill was born to Ruthie Mae Hill and Percy Carthon on June 30, 1944 in Dallas, Texas. She attended Dalworth High School in Grand Prairie, TX.
At a young age, Pat was baptized at Good Street Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. C.A.W. Clark. She was later a member of St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastors B. E. Collie, Leonard Jordan and Emanuel Lupo. In 2017, she moved her membership from Strong Tower Temple (Pastor Deborah Whitaker) in Grand Prairie, Texas to Zion Hill Baptist Church in Waxahachie, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Philemon Ray Jackson.
Pat loved the Lord with all her heart. She loved reading and studying God's word. But most of all, she loved sharing the Word and was an ordained minister. Pat earned a CNA, worked in the nursing field and was a very loving, caring and nurturing person. Pat especially loved children. She assisted in raising and babysat many children. She also loved to cook, go fishing and travel. She was once crowned Ms. KNOK. Last but least, she was a very giving person.
Pat was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ruth and Eathern Moore, and biological father, Percy Carthon
She leaves to cherish her memories her only child, Tress Shaw. Her only grandchild, Zion Shaw, one brother, Harold Hill, one sister, Anita Jackson (Ray), two nieces Mia Mitchell (Courtney), Ashley Fisher (Jarrad, Sr), 3 great-nephews, Malek and Major Mitchell and Jarrad Fisher, Jr. and one great niece, Ashtan Fisher. Two aunts, Doris Givehand and Earnestine Hall. Special cousins, Barbara Ann Dickson and Lola Faye Caraway and host of other relatives and friends. Special Friends; Long time best friend who was just like a sister, Frenchel Maxie Hardman; Her childhood best friend, Rosa Hartfield and Godson, Rodney Hartfield and Special Prayer Warrior Friend Tanisha Benford.
