Obituary

Mr. Raford "Ray" Ruffin was born in Naples, Texas to Estella
and Maudie Ruffin on December 12, 1933.


He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early.


Ray worked as a contractor for Dallas Morning News and a parts
driver for O'Reilly Auto Parts.

Ray took pride in his family. He was an extremely loving and devoted father. He enjoyed spending time with his children. He also loved a good conversation and a good laugh; he never met a stranger! The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Ray. He enjoyed fishing and watching his favorite NFL team - the Dallas Cowboys.


Raford "Ray" Ruffin departed this life on earth on November 1, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents Estella and Maudie Ruffin; son Thomas R. McCloud; siblings James Calvin Ruffin, Esque Ruffin, Jesse James Ruffin, Arlethia Ruffin and Earlane Steward.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories three sons Michael, Marcus, and Myron; two daughters Michelle and Marilyn; his only grandchild Shakevia Williams and the Manning children; Surviving siblings: Lenoria Irving (Will), Madie Brown (Leon), Melvin Ruffin and Levan Ruffin; a devoted friend Patsy Manning and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Those who knew Ray will remember him as a kind, loving man with a generous spirit and a strong sense of values. The memories he leaves behind will be a lasting treasure for generations to come.
