Randall Lee Mims "Randy" was born June 12, 1958, in Rockwall, Texas to his parents, Henry Mims, Jr and Maudie Mims. Randy grew up in Rockwall along with his six brothers and two sisters. He attended school in the Rockwall Independent School District and Garland High School. After leaving high school, Randy spent many of his adult years in the custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Jus- tice. On December 31, 1986, Randy became a father to his one and only child, a daughter, Dominique Linvel. Randy had a deep and uncondi- tional love for his daughter, grandchildren and all his nieces and neph- ews. Randy's periods of incarceration allowed him time to reflect on his life's decisions. When he was released in December 2021, he vowed that he would never return and spent the remainder of his life proving to his family that he was a changed man. Randy passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024, in Dallas, Texas due to a presumed heart attack. He was 65 years of age. Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Maudie Mims and his eldest brother, Bennie. He is survived by his daughter, Dominique Linvel Henderson; son-in- law, Terrell Henderson and his five grandchildren, Makenzie, Travion, Terrell "TJ", Aiden, and Renee. He also leaves to morn his five brothers, Kenneth, Cecil, Kevin, Anthony (Maria) and David Mims; two sisters, Kathy Lightsey (Leroy) and Etta Rose; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of good friends and extended family.
