Reginald Donell Smith was born on June 20, 1975 in Pineville, Louisiana to Robert Cannady, Sr. and Eunice Riley.
Reginald was baptized on August 12, 1984 at Tree of Life Baptist Church by the late Rev. E.D. Henry in Lettsworth, Lousiana. From then on Reginald continued to be a God-fearing man. He graduated from Pointe Coupee Central High School in 1994.
He was employed by Holloway Sportswear and Piggly Wiggly in Simmesport, LA., he also worked for JM Manufacturing Company in Batchelor, LA. He later moved to Dallas, Texas where worked for Albertsons for 16 years.
Reginald met the love of his life, Kyara in 2001. They untied in holy matrimony on February 7, 2005 and they were blessed to be the parents of three beautiful children.
On June 5, 2019, Reginald went home to be with the Lord. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Cannady, Sr.; sister Faith Smith; brother Robert Cannady, Jr.; maternal grandparents: Henry and Hattie C. Smith and paternal grandparents: Nelson and Annie Bell Cannady.
Reginald leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife: Kyara Smith; one daughter: Donasia Monae Smith; two sons: Daijon Shaw and Davyon Shaw; mother Eunice (David) Riley of Moreauville, LA.; three sisters: Angela Smith of Simmesport, LA, Lesia Cannady of New Roads, LA., and Holly (Mardell) Porterie of Monroe, LA.; three brothers: Warren (Christine) Smith of Simmesport, LA., Jordan Cannady of New Roads, LA., and Aaron Riley of Tuscon, AZ.; aunts: Joanna (Johnny) Angrum, Mary Cannady and Jackie Cannady all of Lettsworth, LA. and Janeese Cannady of Houston, TX.; uncles: Richard Smith of Simmesport, LA., Robert Smith of Colfax, LA., George (Shirley) Cannady and Jerry (Jamera) Cannady both of Houston, TX. and Morris (Samantha) of Ft. Worth, TX.; mother-in-law Cynthia Johnson; father-in-law Charles Mitchell, Jr. brother-in-law Shamon Mitchell; Godmother and extended family: Rosalie Franklin, the Lucas Family and a host of other relatives and friends.
