March 8, 1971 – December 2, 2023
On March 8, 1971 the "Fight of the Century" between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier was taking place in Madison Square Gardens. That same night between the parentage of Richard Earl Buster Sr. (deceased) and Deborah Gaar-Davis their son Richard Earl Buster II was born at 7:15pm at Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles, California.
Richard accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and was baptized. He served on the Jr. Usher Board of Atherton Baptist Church (Inglewood, Calif) under the leadership of Pastor Vernon Mitchell. After graduating high school in 1990, Richard, his mother and younger brother Ryan moved to Dallas, Texas. Richard worked at the Federal Reserve Bank, where he meet his best friend and brother for life Mr. Thomas Roach.
During Richard's union with Teresa Thomas-Chandler they birthed a daughter, Jazmine Shardae Buster September 23, 2003. He was a very proud and loving father. This was his greatest achievement to his legacy.
Richard was an active member of New Caldonia Baptist Church, Rockwall Texas under the leadership of Bishop C. R. Davis, Jr. (Stepfather "Paw Paw") He was also the lead guitar player for the music department. Richard was so determined to be a part of the music ministry that he moved from his comfort zone and learned to play the guitar. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and was a fan for life.
His father Richard Earl Buster Sr. (Kaufman, TX) proceeded him in death. He leaves his mother Deborah Gaar-Davis (Cleo) of Forney, TX. Brothers Fred Booth (Kaufman, TX), Ryan Gaar-Buster (Apryl) Denton, TX, and his sister Bervena R. Buster (Dallas, TX), along with his fiancee' LaQueen Erving (Dallas, TX). His bonus siblings, Shannon, Derrick and Tammy Manning also of Dallas, TX. He leaves a host of Aunts, Uncles, and loving cousins.
Richard was a "Gentle Giant", kind and loving. He always greeted everyone with a big hug and a kiss. Richard touched many lives with positive words and a warm smile. Jesus was in his heart, and he strived to become even better than the day before.
Richard Earl Buster II will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
