Rickey Lynn King (Slick Rick), age 51, died on June 27, 2018, in Dallas, Texas.  Rickey was born on March 26, 1967 in Dallas, Texas, to parents Ester Marie and Billy Joe King.

Rickey is survived by his sister, Katrina Fitch, brother-in-law Jimmy Fitch (Porky), of Seven Points, Texas; his sister, Elizabeth Taylor, brother-in-law Gary Taylor, of Canton, Texas ; and his brother, Tommie Stone, of Canton, Texas; 11 nephews, 3 nieces, and numerous great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ester Marie Shumake, of Canton, Texas; his father, Billy Joe King, of Dallas, Texas; his sister, Cendy Parker, of Ft. Worth, Texas; brother, Dale King, of Dallas, Texas; sister-in-law Shirley King and brother Joe King, of Dallas, Texas.

Rickey was often described as the life of the party, a great dancer, and a generous man that would give anyone the shirt of his back if they needed it.  While he had no children of his own, he loved each and every of his nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is scheduled for Rickey on July 7, 2018 at 2 pm at  First Baptist Church-Ferris, Ferris, Texas. Chris Duckworth will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rickey's life.  The family would like to thank everyone who has reached out to us with condolences and donated to Rickey's memorial fund.
