Rita Lasha Bailey was born on August 8, 1958, in Dallas, TX to Elijah and Ida Bailey. She was baptized on December 6, 2015, at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.

Rita was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend to many. She loved to do puzzles, read books, watch movies, tending to her plants, and listen to Gospel music.

On January 19, 2022, Rita answered the call of her Heavenly Father and entered her eternal home in Heaven. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Elijah C and Ida M Bailey, brother Norman L Bailey, and sister Easter K Bailey.

She is survived by her two children whom she loved dearly: Elliott C Bailey and Falon M Bailey. One living brother: Joseph C Bailey; and one living sister, Christopher A Bailey.
