IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robbie Lee
Johnson
October 6, 1919 – July 2, 2019
Robbie Lee Johnson, affectionately known as "Momma Robbie" was born on October 6, 1919 in Granger, Texas to the parents of Allen & Trula Pointer. Robbie was raised in Arlington, Texas. She received her formal education at Booker T. Washington School. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with the Mount Olive Baptist Church for many, many years! She was a faithful and dedicated servant at Mount Olive and sang Alto in the Senior Choir, served as Chair of the Church Programs Committee, served as Church Nursery Lead Teacher, was a Cook for the MOBC Child Development Center and helped raise many youth of the Mount Olive Baptist Church.
"Momma Robbie" was a treasure and hallmark in the "Hill Neighborhood." Her unconditional love and compassion for her family and all people served as a true testimony of her faith in Jesus Christ! Her door was always open to the neighborhood, and many residents were blessed with her words of wisdom and strong spiritual advice regarding prayer and living a clean life for Christ, which she learned from the Bible and was taught by her longtime Pastor – the late Rev. N.L. Robinson.
"Momma Robbie" retired from The Arlington Villa Senior Assistance Home after many years of dedicated employment. Her smile and positive attitude had a lasting impression on many of the residents.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Trula Pointer; her older siblings; one son, Dennis M. Johnson Sr. and one daughter, Patricia Johnson Joe.
"Momma Robbie" leaves to cherish her fond memories, four children: Betty Hogg (Earl Gene), Donald Ray Johnson, Michael Johnson (Patsy) and Michelle Johnson; and a host of grandchildren, including her special Granddaughter and Caretaker Consuela "Connie" Jones, Great-grandchildren, Great- great-grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and countless friends from the community and her Mount Olive family.
