IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robbie Nell
Talley
July 21, 1934 – December 30, 2018
Robbie Nell Nance Talley, a mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, and a friend gained her wings on December 30, 2018.
Robbie Talley was born on July 21, 1934 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Eddie and Mattie Nance. Robbie was raised in the Dalworth Park community where she was well known. She attended Dalworth School and Booker T. Washington High School.
Robbie Talley declared her faith and united with Evening Chapel A.M.E Church where she served faithfully with the director of the Young People Department while she was sure to get every child to Y.P.D meetings on Saturday and to Sunday School on time. She was a member of the Carter Oliver Seniors Club where she would volunteer every Thanksgiving to make her famous cornbread dressing and homemade gravy.
Robbie Talley worked with Methodist and Greater Southwest Hospital until her health failed and later, she went on to sacrifice and devote her life in raising her grandchildren.
Robbie sought to instill the value of unconditional love in her family by displaying a commitment to her children, grandchildren, and many others.
Robbie took her eternal rest to once again reunite with her family that preceded her in death. Her parents Eddie and Mattie Nance; one daughter Alfreda Lockett; one brother; John L. Nance; three sisters: Ida Manning, Mattie Mosley, and Lois Brown.
Her presence will never be forgotten by her three sons: Clifton O. Talley, David L. Talley, and Kelvin G. Talley; three daughters: Deborah A. Talley, Beverly G. Talley, and Roseland W. Talley; fifteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Her dear friend R.L. Daniel, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
