IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Kenneth
Johnson
April 30, 1951 – August 20, 2024
On April 30, 1951, Robert Kenneth Johnson entered this world as a cherished son of Rufus and Cora Lee Stimpson Johnson, who have since passed on before him. Robert's life was blessed with three wonderful children, one of whom, Agrence "Tracy" Delance Smith-Johnson, preceded him in death.
Also awaiting Robert in eternal rest are three beloved grandchildren, Jerome Eric Daniels, Andriana "Anna" Johnson, and Da'Chiana (Dasha) Swearengen; sister, Lily Faye Wyatt Hill; three brothers, Marcus Johnson, Roy Lee "Dune" Wyatt, and Rufus Charles "Punkin" Johnson.
A devout member of the Greater New Birth Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, Robert served under the guidance of the honorable Reverend Charles R. Terry, Sr. where he developed his lifelong commitment serving as an active Usher and a dedicated member of the Royal Ambassadors Brotherhood. He was a proud graduate of Portland Oregon Job Corps.
Robert's passion for cooking was renowned, from his famous pizza burgers and fish baskets to his mastery of BBQ, a skill passed down from his father. He continued the Johnson family tradition with his own recipe for sausage, brisket, sliced and chopped beef. Through his small business and nonprofit, 2Days Kids, Robert not only shared his culinary gifts but also devoted himself to feeding children in need. His heart for service extended to fostering teenage boys for over eight years, and he was a consistent volunteer and friend to many.
Robert Johnson leaves behind a loving family, including his two daughters, Latoniadra Johnson of Dallas, TX, and Christie (Jimmie) Swearengen of Garland, TX; bonus children, Michelle (Marcus) Pipkins and Jackie (Jermaine) Pipkins; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Robert is also survived by a loving sister, Maggie Johnson Williams of Garland, TX; special nephew, James Calvin Wyatt; devoted niece, Demerris (Marcell) Russell of Baltimore, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and fellow followers of Christ.
Robert's life was one of love, service, and faith. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
