Ronald Ray Shaw was born on May 30, 1960, in Bastrop, Louisiana to the parents of Roosevelt Jackson and Essie Shaw, but was later adopted by Breard Shaw Sr., who preceded him in death.  He was one of 8 children.

After graduating from high school, Ronald moved to Dallas, Texas and began his life long career as a barber. He was an entrepreneur who owned his own barbershops as well as working in collaboration with other barbers. God allowed him to bless many with his talent as a barber, whether they came into his place of business or he traveled to them. Ronald joined New Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in 1984 where he served as a deacon and a choir member faithfully until his demise. He always had a story to tell and a song in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Joe and Laura Armstrong and his father Breard Shaw Sr.

Ronald leaves to carry on his legacy his daughter: Zari Shaw; his mother: Essie Shaw; siblings: Dennis Shaw, Peggy Shaw, Barbara Shaw, Breard Shaw Jr. (Kimberly), Joseph Shaw, Robert Shaw, Timothy Shaw and Suzette "Cookie" Mays; his father: Roosevelt Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends .
