IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Roshanda
Brown
February 12, 1971 – February 2, 2024
I was born on February 12, 1971, in Fort Worth, Texas to the parentage of Daphne Hatcherson and Donald J. Williams.
I received my formal education in the Fort Worth ISD, graduating from Eastern Hills High School and later attending Prairie View A&M University.
I accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of the Beth Eden Baptist Church under the Leadership of Pastor B.R. Daniels, Sr., until his death. I also attended the Morning Star Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas under the Leadership of Pastor C.L. Taylor, I and served in the Youth Ministry, Choir and Deaconess Ministries. I worked at K-Mart until I secured a job with the Dallas County Sheriff's Department as a DSO Officer, and remained there for over 15 years, until my health failed, and I had to medically retire.
In 1990, I met this handsome man named Sylvester Brown, III who was the apple of my eye, half of my heart beat, the love of my life and my "Big Poppa". We were married on September 19, 1992 and on January 20, 1993, we welcomed the other half of my heart beat, our daughter, A'brea Ashley Brown, my "Moo" and my world; remember Mommy will always love and watch over you.
I leave to join my sisters, Tina Parks-Richard and Marilyn Russ; my Grandparents, Coquese Reed and Monroe Reed; Aunt, Ann Reed; Uncles, Ovid Moore and Dwayne Reed; and my Mother-in-Love, Vervina Brown. Those left to be comforted by the Holy Spirit and to cherish our memories: My husband of 32 years Reverend Sylvester Brown, III; my daughter, Abrea Ashley Brown; my faithful companion (dog) "Savannah"; my mother, Daphne Hatcherson; my father, Donald J. Williams (Mary); Siblings, Nieces, Nephews, My In-Laws, DeAnna Brown, Rodney Brown and Sylvester Brown, Jr.; my God-daughters, Danielle Sneed, Megan Strong and Alayah Jackson; bonus daughter, Teneshia McCuin and a host of cousins and friends.
