Obituary
Roy Cantrell Tallie was born on December 8, 1930 in Dallas, Texas to the parents of Mayor Granville Tallie and Ira Z. Wicks Taylor.
Roy received Christ at an early age at Evening Chapel AME Church. He met and later married Clara Mae Calton and they had eight beautiful children.
Roy served in the US Army and was a highly decorated solider. He rose and served to the rank of Captain.
He is preceded in death by both his parents, his wife Clara Mae Calton; daughter Erma Bernett; grandsons Douglas Tallie and Kevin Scott; and great-granddaughter NaTasha Tallie.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving children: Helen Tallie, Bettie Ann Tallie, Deborah Tallie, David Tallie, Ada Tallie, Dennis Tallie and Novella Stinson; twenty-two grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; one living sister: Catherine Williams; four nieces; two nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.Services
