Johnny and Maggie Wright. She attended and graduated from Ruby Dabney was born June 16, 1936, to the parentage of Bourne Avenue School

She joined Cedar Grove Christian Church at an early age. She later joined Gospel Tabernacle Church where she was an active member.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Roosevelt (Dab) Dabney, husband Willie Shelby, her parents, four brothers: Sylvester Wright, Odell Wright, Alvin Wright, and Willie James(Champ) Wright,  Two sisters: Thelma Scroggins and Maude Mims, and great-granddaughter Paris Brown

Ruby is survived by her five children: Paul Dabney (Darlene) Rowlett, Texas, Frederick Dabney (Karen) Rockwall, Texas, Teresa Dabney-Haney (Will) Rockwall, Texas, Debra Dabney-Hearn (Robby) Royse City, Texas, and Demond Dabney(Shanette) Red Oak, Texas; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four sisters: Dorothy Terrell, Lancaster, Texas, Doris Brown, Rockwall, Texas, JohnnieMae Napoleon, Rockwall, Texas, and Velma Coleman, Garland, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends

She will be remembered by all who knew her as a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend.
