Sandra Ann Sealey (formerly Adkins) was born in New York City on September 13 ^th , 1954. She worked in New Jersey for over 20 years in the casino industry as an IT supervisor and Slot Attendant. In New Jersey, she raised her daughter Ronnette and met the love of her life and Husband Paul Sealey. Paul and Sandra moved to Dallas, Texas in 2010, to be closer to Ronnette and their family (Although she remained a true New Yorker).

Throughout her life, Sandra enjoyed conversation, traveling abroad, music, and movies. She also delighted in the presence of her grandchildren, and even tolerating the occasional eye shadow experiments of a (then) 8-year-old girl.

Sandra passed away in Plano, Texas September 28 ^th , 2019 after a protracted battle with kidney disease and complications from a recent heart attack. She was 65 years old.

She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents Lawrence and Mable Adkins. Sandra is survived by her husband of 34 years Paul Sealey, her 92 year-old biological mother, Elizabeth Hastings of Harlem NY, (3) Siblings Anne Johnson of Irving, TX, Robin Patterson and Ronald Hastings of Harlem, NY; daughter Ronnette Phillips and Son-in-law Matt Phillips, (2) grandchildren Jocelyn & Jameson Phillips; a total of (7) nieces and nephews: Devon Johnson, Brian Johnson, Jamar Johnson, Daniel Johnson of Jacksonville, FL. Krystal Hastings, Ronald Jr. Hastings, Ronaya Hastings of Harlem, NY, as well as (7) great-nieces and nephews.
