Obituary

Scott Earl Moore, 55, returned to God's care on 08/12/2024. Scott
was born to Edward and Barbara Moore in Dallas, Texas on
07/11/1969.

Scott graduated from Skyline High School in 1987 and began
working as a Mailroom Clerk for the Department of Homeland
Security shortly after. He served over 30 years with USCIS and
finished his career as an Operations Support Specialist, GS-12.

Along the way, Scott picked up an abandoned phone call, only to
meet his best friend and wife, Carletha. Anyone who knows Scott
knows how much he loved Carletha and anyone who knows Carletha
knows how much she loved Scott. They were inseparable and
together they built a community of family and love. Scott exuded
love, so much that he was adopted by 100s of neighborhood kids who
still to this day, remember the "father figure" and pillar that he was to
them and still is.

Speaking of love, "LET'S GO COWBOYS!" would be a weekly
phrase in the Moore home every football season. Scott was a
hardcore Cowboys fan with enough Cowboys memorabilia to fill a
small museum.

The loss of Scott- husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, cousin,
and friend is described by the family as a tremendously sad and
gut-wrenching loss. As already known, Scott left a loving impression
on many lives and will truly be missed.

Scott is survived and intensely missed by his wife of 24 years,
Carletha Moore, and their 7 children- Kennetha, TaCory, Kenneth,
Tanisha (Josh), Tracee (Rico), Quenton, and Janea (Roman).

He will forever be remembered as PawPaw by their 18 grandchildren
- Brianna Arthur, Malcolm Townsend, Mariah Haynes, Kailee Evans,
Kahliya Moore, Tacory Patillo Evans, Mason Bell, Keagan Haynes,
Eliyyah Alexander, Troy Evans, Jace Evans, Khloe Moore, Ariel
Brown, Noah Evans, Tiana Brown, Zoey Alexander, Hope Evans,
and Genesis Evans.

The love and bond will never be forgotten by his brother, David
Moore (Ratyra), their father, Edward Moore, Pamela Evans, LaTisa
Brown, Aunt Joyce, Aunt Charlesetta, aunts, uncles, and lifelong
friends.

Scott was preceded by his mother, Barbara Lightner.

Let us always remember Scott as the personable, loving, funny, and
genuine soul that he is; and in his infamous words, he would tell
everyone ... "Stay Focused".
