Obituary

Shana La'Trece Taylor-Ross was born March 21, 1972 in Dallas, TX to the late Melvin Lewis and Belinda Taylor-Lewis.

Shana graduated from Richardson High School in 1990 where she enjoyed running track. This was a sport she loved. After high school she attended Richland College for one year, but later went on to become a store manager for McDonalds, Walgreens and CVS before succumbing to injuries that prevented her from working in 2022.

In her early years, Shana attended Jeremiah Deliverance Tabernacle under the leadership of her grandmother Pastor Thelma Lewis. As Shana became an adult, she often attended church with her mother at Greater Holmes Street C.O.G.I.C. until the world became still due to the pandemic in 2020, where she joined Pillar of Grace Church Houston virtually under Pastor Bryan K. Johnson. She later became a member of Open Bible Fellowship Church before her unexpected passing.

On June 2, 2000, Shana married Cedrick Ross, and two children, Kendall and Kellie, were born into this union. Shana loved spending time with her family and holiday gatherings with her extended family. In her spare time, she enjoyed board games and puzzles. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Lewis; aunt, Patricia Taylor; and uncles, Anthony Lewis and Marion Lewis.

She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Cedrick Ross; mother, Belinda Taylor-Lewis; three children, Kenni (Kelvin) Mitchell,
Kendall Ross, and Kennedy-Kellie Ross; four grandchildren, Kyair Ross, Josiah Rankin, Zealan Mitchell, and Sanaiya Mitchell; siblings, Darrell (Ava) Taylor and Shemika Taylor, two nieces, Jordyn Strange and Brooklyn "Bestie" Garcia. She also leaves behind a host of family and friends who loved her tremendously.
