IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stephen Eugene
Washington Jr.
December 19, 1975 – July 30, 2025
On December 19, 1975, Stephen Eugene Washington, Jr. was born in
Midland, Texas to Cheryl L. Randolph and Stephen E. Washington, Sr.
The family moved to Dallas, TX where Stephen spent his early
childhood. He received his education through the Dallas Independent
School District and was a graduate of Cedar Hill High School in Cedar
Hill, TX. He went on to further his education at Dallas College. He
was employed at MetroCare as a security officer. There, he met and
bonded with some wonderful coworkers who turned into family.
From the age of 16, Stephen fought for his life and a purpose to be
alive. There were many times that he wanted to give up, but he
persevered through life's storms. Stephen lived a life marked by
compassion, strength, and deep devotion to his family. He was a loving
father, son, brother and uncle who had a heart of gold and was always
a phone call away, ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to
those in need.
On July 30, 2025, Stephen departed from his earthly home and moved
to his heavenly home joining his father, Stephen E. Washington, Sr.;
his younger brother, Zetteal Washington; grandparents, uncles and one
aunt.
Stephen leaves behind a lifetime of loving memories to his devoted
mother, Cheryl Randolph Gibbs (Dallas, TX); his daughter, Bre
Washington (Dallas, TX); and his grandchildren.
His memory will live on in the hearts of his three brothers, Adrian
Washington (Dallas, TX), Cedric Washington and Jaytrell B.
(Germany); four sisters, Pertend Gibbs(Dallas, TX), Annette H.,
Jacqueline Carroll, and Darian Thomas; his nephews and nieces that he
helped raise, Kadrian Washington, Nyshaun Gibbs, Aden Washington,
Avre Washington, Promyse Brackins, and Sanah Smith and a host of
other relatives and friends of whom he loved dearly.
Stephen's legacy of love, kindness, and perseverance will be carried
forward by those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be
deeply missed and forever remembered.
