Steve Elliot Redic was born to Pervie Lee Redic and the late John Edward Redic Sr. who preceded him in death. Steve graduated from North Dallas High School and continued his education at Navarro College where he graduated with a Degree in Physical Sport Science Education. He later went on to continue his education at Panhandle State University and later became an Educator for the Garland Independent School District.

Steve began his walk with God and began attending Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church until his health began to fail him.

Steve was preceded in death by two sisters: Gwendolyn James (Willis) and Cherish Redic, one brother John Edward Redic Jr, and his beautiful, loving daughter Larissa Garcia.

Those left to cherish his memories are, his mother Pervie Lee Redic; four sisters: Charntelle Willis, Sharon Fountain (Redic), Ivory Redic, and Susana Redic; three brothers: Derwin Redic, Timothy Redic, and Marlon Redic; children: Stevie (Little Stevie), Desmond Garcia, Juan Garcia, Stephon Redic, and host grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
