Steve was born on December 17th, to S.E. and Vernice Combs. After finishing High School, he joined the US Army. Once he came home from the military, he started a career at Otis Engineering (the name later changed to Halliburton), where he met the love of his life, Ollie. Steve and Ollie wed on November 30, 1979.

During the forty-four years and two months that they were married, they enjoyed fishing as often as possible, attending church, bowling and enjoying their family. Steve was definitely loved by many people and will be deeply missed.

He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Ollie Combs; son, Melvin Bush (Janet); grandkids, Nikki, Brandon, Damitria, Brittany, and Amber; seven great grandchildren; siblings, Sam, Sharlotte (John), Sharon (Johnny), Sheila, and Stanley (Vickie), and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, grandparents, and daughter.

Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a loyal friend, a giver, and all-around good guy. He was one of a kind. Steve will never be forgotten but forever remembered and missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. We love him dearly and will miss him so much. He will be forever in our hearts.
