Terral Green transitioned from this life on October 8, 2019. Terral Green was born on March 14, 1958, to Freddie B. Green and Ruby Jones Green in Chicago, Illinois. He was the first of three children born into a huge family that is now over 800 members strong.
Terral accepted Christ at an early age. It was the family oath that each child should be baptized and understood the realm of being a child of God. Terral was baptized at Evening Chapel A.M.E. church by Rev William Burnett on October 18, 1970.
Terral graduated from Grand Prairie High School in May of 1977. He received letters of congratulations from former US representative Dale Milford and many others.
Upson graduation, Terral enlisted into the United States Army. He completed basic training and MOS training at the Maneuver Center of Excellence School at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was then stationed at Kirch Goens Army base, Stuttgart Germany. It was there and then that he gained the nickname "The Rock".
Terral was an innovative thinker and had an extraordinary mind. He gave many suggestions and ideas that were and are being used to this day. From the 1997 Pontiac Grand AM commercial to the LTV Employee badges. Terral will forever live on due to his countless contributions to society. He had the heart and soul of a true Warrior!
He was proceeded in death by his father Freddie B. Green, his stepfather Raymond T. Fields, and step-brother Keith Fields.
He leaves to remember his inspiration: His mother Ruby J. Fields; Step-mother Evielean Green; three daughters: Terra D. Green, Karen Green Jarvis, and Michelle Green; one son: Terral Green Jr.; one sister: Sheri J. Dixon (Andrew L. Dixon Sr.); one brother: Major Kenneth J. Green (Cindee Green); four step-siblings: Eunice Simmonds, Angela Young, Damon Green, and Derrick Young; grandchildren: Lauren Gordon, Gabriel Jarvis, Jordyn Jarvis, Amija James, Gabriel Gwen, Lilliana Oneal, and J'con Green. He also leaves two aunts: Ella Rose Sistrunk, Mable Jones Jones; two uncles: Benjamin Jones (Sue) and Charles D. Jones Sr. (Ann), along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family members.
