Ms. Tonya Stewart was born on October 21, 1970 in Grand Prairie, Texas to Mr. Elroy Stewart Sr. and Mrs. Juanita Stewart. Tonya was educated and attended school in the Arlington Independent School District.  At an early age, Tonya made the best decision of her life which was to accept Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.

Tonya remained faithful in the church until God called home to receive her crown.  She was a Youth Leader, Sunshine Band Leader, and Sunday School Teacher.  She truly enjoyed working with the youth.  She also attended Aladdin Beauty College and became a licensed cosmetologist.

Tonya's hobbies included arts and crafts, reading and fishing.

Tonya was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Elroy Stewart Sr. and Mrs. Juanita Stewart, and her sister Mrs. Barchellia Stephens.

She is survived by three brothers: James Stewart, Elroy Stewart Jr., (Patricia), and Victor Stewart (Betsy); four sisters: Patricia Stewart, Darlene Lincoln (James), Sharon Reed (Willie) and Cassandra Mitchell (Garrett Earl); her great nieces whom she raised: Zipporiah Stephens and Keiandra Miles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
