Vaudie Murray Calhoun was born April 25, 1922, in Emory, Tx to the parentage of Frazier Murray and Ora McMillian Murray. Vaudie departed her earthy life on August 7, 2022.

She was married to Charles Calhoun for 43 years. They were blessed to raise Travis Riley as their son. She was a mother/aunt to many.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Prairie Grove Baptist Church in Emory, Tx. Later she became a faithful member of Galilee Church of God in Christ in Dallas, Tx.  She then became a First Lady of New Bethel Church of God in Christ in Dallas, TX where she and her husband Pastor Charles Calhoun founded the church. Later she became a member of New Beginning Fellowship Church in Mesquite, Tx until her health failed and God called her home.

Vaudie attended Emory ISD, and she became a licensed Master Barber after graduation.  She also started her on home day care business.

Vaudie leaves to cherish her nieces and nephews and other loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her father and her mother and all of her siblings.
