V irginia Lee Thomas was born on October 5, 1948, to the late Richard and Virgie Justice in McKinney, Texas.

Virginia accepted Christ at an early age under her grandfather, the late Rev. Neal Collins. She grew up in Murphy, Texas and attended school in the Plano Independent School District. She later became a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Plano.

Mrs. Thomas worked at UTD and later became self-employed and began cleaning homes.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Virgie Justice and her husband James Leon Thomas.

The memory of a full, loving life will be remembered by her son Gary Smith (Carlenea) of Terrell, TX.; three daughters: Deborah Powell (Terry) of Waxahachie, TX., Syreeta Gilstrap (Andre) of Allen, TX., and Jamie Thomas of Plano, TX.; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters: Josephine Chancellor and Peggy Luckey of Dallas, TX., Alice Propes (Tommy) of Plano, TX., Myrtle Lewis (Harvey) of Rowlett, TX. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
