Wiley Lemar Matchett was born May 25,1949 to Norah S. Matchett and Pennie E. Matchett. He was the second of eight children.

Wiley received his basic education from Midway School District. After finishing school, Wiley became a man of many trades. During his adult career, he worked for LTV as a Sheet Metal Engineer for 25 years. He al-so worked in Construction and was truck driver for Big City Trucks.

Wiley is preceded in death by his parents, Norah and Pennie Matchett; and six siblings, Willie Henry, Norah Gene, Evelyn Joyce (Arnold), James Henry (Dianne), James Glen and Maudesta.

Wiley is survived by his wife of 31 years Jeanette. They were united in matrimony on December 31, 1994.

The celebration of Wiley's life will be continued by his four children, Peg-gy Brown, James Matchett (April), Carlton "Lamar" Brown (Missy) and Angie Brown; 10 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Annie Robinson (Robert) and Patricia McCreary; 1 brother, Robert Earl Brown (Robbie); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
