WILLIAM ALFRED CROLL was called home into glory on January 8, 2021, at the age of 81.  Bill was born on July 24, 1939 in Niagara Falls, NY to Alfred E. and Margaret A. Croll.  The Croll family moved to Dallas in 1949, where he lived most of his life before moving to Garland, TX.  He graduated from Jesuit High School in 1958, served in the Navy, and then went on to work as a letter carrier for 33 years with the United States Postal Service.

Bill will always be remembered for his love of the Lord Jesus Christ, his beautiful prayers, his perseverance in the face of adversity, and his wonderful sense of humor. His heart was filled with scripture, and he touched the lives of many friends and members of his church to help serve those who were in need.

Bill always said when he leaves this life, inscribe my resting place as "Return to Sender".  He will remain in the memories of his loving wife of 56 years, Judy Croll; their son Timothy Croll; daughter and son-in-law Mary Sue & Matt Farris; and son Steven Croll (Rebecca Medina), three grandchildren Maximiliano, Mariana, and Marcelino Croll.  Bill, the oldest of six Croll Boys, preferred to be addressed as, "The first born".  He is also survived by his brothers, Michael (Susan) Croll of Coronado, CA, Robert (Joan) Croll of Casa Grande, AZ, Patrick (Teresa) Croll of Richmond, TX, David (Nisa) Croll of Nyack, NY, and Daniel (Judy) Croll of Rowlett, TX; plus many other family and beloved friends.

Due to the pandemic, Interment services at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery will be planned at a later date.
