Mr. William Authur Forest was born on July 4, 1947, to the parentage of the late Vernon and Gertrude Forest.
William was born in Texarkana, Texas and later moved to Belton, Texas where he was raised. He graduated from Harris High School in Belton and went on to receive his bachelor's in arts from Bishop College. He enlisted in the US Army in 1965 and served his country for three years. He became a schoolteacher and later retired in 2007.
Will accepted Christ in 2009 at the Eastside Church of Christ in Garland, Texas. While at Eastside he committed to the "Cans for Christ" Ministry to show love to individuals throughout the church. He remained faithful until his death.
On August 17, 2009, William untied in marriage to his wife, Betty Michelle Johnson. To their union one child was born, the apple of his eye, Marykle Michelle Birdie Forest. They remained married until his departure. On July 23, 2019, God called William home. He is preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Gertrude Forest; four brothers: Virgil J. Forest, Levern Forest, Jewel Forest, and Leroy Forest; two sisters: Helen Walker and Shirley Forest.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Betty Forest of Dallas, TX.; three daughters: Lisa Trejo (Marvin) of Temple, TX., Doresa Forest Smith of Austin, Tx., and Marykle Forest of Dallas, TX.; one son: William A. Forest, Jr. of Dallas, TX; six stepchildren: Timothy Johnson, Ladarris Johnson (Erica) both of Dallas, TX., JaoTorey Johnson (Celina) of San Antonio, TX., Jalarrica Johnson, Keith Johnson, and Craig Wilson all of Dallas, TX.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; sister Berdie Mae Forest of Belton, TX.; half brothers Gary Higgin and Jerry Higgins; his loving brother and sister in law and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
William had a heart of gold. God and the church were his everything, he was a great friend to all.
