William Henry Hickey was born on May 10, 1940, to loving parents, Mr. Charlie and Mrs. Katherine Hickey. Raised in Dalworth, Texas, he attended Dalworth High School.

In 1970, William married the love of his life, Willie Mae on August 28th, marking the beginning of a beautiful partnership. He dedicated over twenty years of service to C.P Wagner and later retired from the United States Postal Service.

William was a devoted member of the Sunset Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas, where his faith and fellowship were an integral part of this life.

William is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Katherine Hickey; his brothers, Freddie Mack Hickey and Charlie Ray Hickey; and his son, William Edwards.

William leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories with his children, Kevin Hickey (Andrea), William Hickey, Jr. (Marcy), Johnny Edwards, Linda Edwards, Delois Edwards Lacy (Ray), and Teresa Edwards. He is also survived by over 19 grandchildren, over 16 greatgrandchildren; his brothers, James Hickey and Tommy Hickey; as well as a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

William will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
