William
Majors
June 17, 1949 – March 23, 2024
William Edward Majors was born June 17th, 1949 in
McKinney, Texas to Daniel and Lillie Mae Majors.
William accepted Jesus at an early age.
William graduated from Plano High School. As a part of his studies, he
was enrolled in the "Shop" class of which was one of his favorite
classes. He studied auto mechanics and his knowledge and love for auto
mechanics were carried throughout his life.
William was drafted and served two years in the United States Army in
Korea. He was a part of the last drafting. After serving his country, he
returned to Texas and began working for the Allen Independent School
District. William also worked on cars in his spare time; he was one of
the best mechanics in town.
William married his best friend and childhood sweetheart, Surina Turner
on May 17th, 1968. They were together fifty-two loving years before
Surina preceded him in death. William and Surina were blessed with
three children: Katrina Majors, William Majors, and Marshal Majors.
William's family was essential to him, and nothing brought him more
joy than being able to spend time with his family.
William was a member of Eternity Community Church and served as a
Deacon for twenty-six years. He was a faithful member and served with
joy.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Lillie Mae
Majors; wife, Surina Majors; daughter, Katrina Majors; his siblings, Dan
Majors, Jr., Woodrow Majors, Wilber Lee Majors, Herman Majors,
Erma Majors, Mineola Parkers James, and Roy Lee Majors.
William leaves behind to cherish his memory, two sons, William Majors
(Erin Majors) and Marshal Majors (Catherine Majors); ten
grandchildren, LaDarius Majors, Deontre Hall, Sierra Majors, Kobe
Majors, Reyna Majors, Gabriel Majors, Denique Qualls, Damarion
Qualls, Damariah Qualls, and Dameion Qualls; three great
grandchildren, A'ziah Majors, Makhi Majors and Rameesie Royal
Jackson; a brother, Curtis Eugene Majors (Frankie); three sisters, Selina
Crane (William), Emma Shaw, and Theresa Flowers; his adopted
children, grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
William Edward Majors will be remembered as a
kind, loving, and generous family man who was
known as a "jack of all trades". He had gifted hands
and was always happy to be of service to those in
need and took special pride wherever he was able to
help those he loved. William will be sorely, but
surely not forgotten.
