IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Willie Mae
Alexander
July 13, 1944 – October 30, 2024
Willie Mae Alexander was born to the late Perry Dunn and Lula Washington on July 13, 1944, in Dallas, Texas. She attended Lincoln High School in the Dallas Independent School District.
She confessed her life to Christ at an early age at the Evangelist Holy Temple Church in Dallas, TX. She later joined Mitchell Street Church in Dallas, TX. Willie Mae's faith in God was the cornerstone of her life and foundation for everything. She was always helping others, sharing kind words and encouraging people along the way. She was always bold in her faith. To her family she was known to be a brave, funny, loving, kind and caring person who loved to spend time with her loved ones.
Besides spending time with her family, cooking brought her great joy. She loved to cook for her family and celebrate the holidays. She was a selfless lady whose smile and laugh were infectious, lighting up every room she entered. She had the quality of a listening ear when needed, but she also was a natural born problem -solver, who always had a plan for even the smallest problem and shared her expertise freely.
Willie Mae entered into eternal rest on October 30, 2024. She is preceded in death by her loving parents; one son, Joseph C. Dunn; three sisters, Vera, Pauline and Allene; and one brother, Rayne.
Willie Mae leaves to carry on her legacy her daughter, Bertrille "Princess" Johnson; son, Benjamin Johnson; grandchildren, Alicia Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Benjamin Johnson, Jr., Jonathan Johnson, Breanna Johnson and Chatera Johnson; 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends all whom she loved dearly.
Willie Mae will never be forgotten but forever remembered and missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
