The Beautiful Life of Yvonne Gray McCrimmon
Yvonne Gray McCrimmon was born on September 22, 1962, in
Duncan, Oklahoma to Lola Virginia Gray and Thomas M. McCrimmon.
Early Saturday morning on January 7th, 2023, the Pearlie Gates of
Heaven opened and welcomed her home. Yvonne graduated from the
Paul's Valley State School. After graduation she joined the PowerShop
where she worked at Halliburton and the community work crew.
In 1989 after the passing of her mother Yvonne went under the care of
her Sister-in-law, Etta Jackson where they were joined at the hip until she
was called home.
Early in life, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was
baptized. She was a faithful member of Zoe Christian Church under the
Pastoral leadership of Pastor Melvin Sanders.
Yvonne had a heart of gold and loved everyone that encountered her. Her
favorite greeting was "Hi Short." She was filled with so much love, joy
and laughter. She enjoyed singing, dancing and praising the Lord. Her
favorite song to sing was "Yes, Jesus Loves Me" and you would often
hear he say Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Yvonne loved to spend time with her
nieces and nephews and loved to mimic all their dance moves and
singing. She was the life of every party she attended!
She leaves to cherish her memories three sisters-in-law: Etta Jackson,
Gwen Christian and Ann Christian. four nieces; Cynthia Shannon, Tisa
Jackson, ReShonda Houston (Stacy), Chandra Christion (Wendell); nine
nephews: Conwell Jackson Jr, Darryl Jackson Sr. (Aleta), Cortez
Jackson, Cornelius Jackson Sr, Corey Jackson, Jimmie Christion Jr,
Christopher Christion (Jessica), Tony Christion, Amodd Christion
(Elise), Oscar Christion (Olga). Great-nephews; Trevor Brown, Cornelius
Jackson Jr, Darryl Jackson Jr, Antoine Pennie, Marquis Jackson, Conwell
Jackson, Olan Jackson, Robert Jackson-Dembo, Quinton Jackson, Corey
Jackson Jr, Jayveous Lyons, Si'Yian Fleeks-Jackson, Maurice,
Dominique, Aaron. Great-nieces; Anisha Kelly, Shuntez Evans, Seqoua
Jackson, Talana Bennet, Sequita Williamson, Montoya Shannon, Erica,
Shawna and a boast of great-great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lola Virginia Gray and Thomas
M. McCrimmon; three brothers: Jimmie Christion, Wallace Christion and
Conwell Jackson Sr, Great-nephews; Deion Jackson-Houston, Dakaryi
Jackson.
