Zantrel Demund Mays was born on July 30, 1985 to Bonne Mays and Leslie Sowels in Dallas, Texas.

Zantrel better known as "Z" received his formal education from Mesquite High School where he graduated in 2004. He was a Running Back for the Mesquite "Skeeters" and was a very talented football player.

After graduating high school, Zantrel decided to enlist in the US Navy. Where he served and traveled around the world for 8 years.

Zantrel was preceded in death by his grandmother, great grandmother, father and many other relatives.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Bonne Mays; brother Anthony Mays; son Zavier D. Mays; uncle Isiah Mays; two aunts: Loray Coleman and Dianna Coleman. He also leaves behind many cousins, other relatives and friends.
