Troy DeWayne Voss was born on May 24, 1973, in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Willietter Voss and Joseph Reed, Jr.

Troy accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour at a young age in Plano, TX. He attended school in the Plano Independent School District.

Troy had a love for fishing and barbecuing with his family whenever he had the chance. At time of his passing, he was employed at Take 5 Oil Change and had been there for several months.

Troy entered into his eternal resting place on March 15, 2026. He was greeted in heaven by his sister, O’Teka Shun Sheila Surraye; his maternal grandparents, William and Menthetter Voss; his paternal grandparents, Laverne and Joseph Reed, Sr.; two aunts, Linda Sue Bryant and Clematine Reed; two uncles, Sammie Reed and Bennie Reed; and his stepfather, Richard Havis along with other beloved relatives.

Troy leaves the following to cherish his loving memory, his beloved son, Andre Watson; his devoted mother, Willietter Voss; his loving father, Joseph Reed, Jr.; his stepdaughter, Taneria Menyfield and stepson, J.T. Brown.

He will be forever loved and deeply remembered by his two sisters, Janisha Reed-Williams (Lavar), Christy McIntyre; three brothers, Joseph Reed, III (Michel), London Reed (Mandy) and Joshua Reed; an honorary sister, Quona Levy; and four honorary brothers, Tracy Jones, Tony Holmes, Kelian Denson and Kerry Holes; two aunts, Barbara Session and Teresa Miles; and an uncle, Harvey Johnson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Troy was the best father, son, grandson, uncle, cousin and friend anyone could ask for. He is now our guardian angel who will be watching over us and waiting for us as well. We will miss him dearly; he will forever and always be in our hearts.
